Thanks for choosing WP-Firewall.

We recommend you check the settings on your servers.

It helps WP-Firewall provide service correctly.

Incorrect settings may lead to failures.

1. PHP Directives Misconfiguration

Check the PHP provision and php-directives configuration on your server. Make sure your server is enabled for PHP 5.4 and higher.

Make sure that the user on whose behalf PHP is running has write permissions to the root directory (root folder) of your website.

If PHP works on your server as an Apache module, it runs on behalf of the same user as Apache. If PHP is running in CGI mode, this is most likely not the case.

2. Incorrect Redirects and TCP Port Restrictions

You should be able to connect via TCP port 7000.

Check redirects in the .htaccess file. Make sure there are no redirects (forced redirects) to other pages (URLs) when accessing the Sync File. For example, if .htaccess RewriteEngine is configured as "on", you should check the referral conditions.

Thus, for example, conditions should not be created in which it is not possible to access the Sync File (e.g. only the index.html/index.php file in the website's root directory can be opened when the sync problem occurs).

3. Direct Link Access to Sync File

Make sure the Sync File is available for direct link access on your website. If the file is available, you will see a successful connection message. If the file is not available, you will not see a response. This means the Sync File is not uploaded to the website's root folder, or the website itself is not available (any hosting problem). In this case, you should contact the technical support of your host.

4. Not Enough Space on Your Server

Check whether there is enough free space on your server.

To use WP-Firewall, you should have a minimum of 10 megabytes of free space on your server.

5. Configure Your Request Filtering Tools Correctly

Check your server's or website's firewall access permissions.

Your server (resource) must be able to receive and send data to the our cloud firewall service providers' IP 51.81.107.180, 135.148.103.139.

If you already have a firewall/Cloudflare or any other request filtering tools (on your site or server), you should add the specified IPs to your whitelist.

Nothing Helps You Sync Your Website?

There may be some other things that could cause sync problems.

If the above methods do not help solve the problem, please contact our ticket-based tech support.
